Arrivals

Before Arrival

The student support team is here to guide all International students through the process of preparing for their arrival in Ghana, then to UENR campus.

  • Acceptance of Study Offer:
Students should write an acceptance offer of admission letter to the Head of IRO within two weeks of receiving his or her offer letter.
  • Visas:
We recommend that students apply for the visa as soon as they accept their student’s offer in order to prevent any delays.
A visa permits an international student entry into a country at any time, during the period of issue. Usually, 60 to 90 days are given at the point of entry to stay.
You are required by law to extend your permit to stay in the country for an extended period of time after that.
  • Accommodation:
The University provides accommodation for all fresh undergraduate students on campus.
Continuing and graduate students would be assisted in securing decent accommodation at private hotels and other accommodation facilities close to the University.
  • Personal/ Health Insurance:
All International students need to have a form of Medical Insurance (Private/National Health Insurance).
  • We advise that you come along with certain medications you are used to since the ingredients usually differ from one country to the other.
  • Check whether your phone will work in Ghana or will have to roam. Also, check if your SIM card can be roamed in Ghana or get a Ghana SIM card on arrival. SIM cards are very easy to come by.
